RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly, professional manner and help create a welcoming office environment.
- Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and route customers to the appropriate licensed team member.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, document organization, data entry, mailing, and maintaining office records.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining agency calendars.
- Make appropriate customer service and follow-up calls that do not require an insurance license, and transfer insurance-related questions to a licensed team member.
- Help maintain accurate customer contact information and complete assigned administrative follow-up tasks.
- Support licensed team members with preparation and organization of materials needed for customer appointments and follow-up.
- Assist with office organization, supply inventory, and other day-to-day operational needs.
Social Media & Marketing
- Assist with creating, scheduling, and posting engaging content for the agency's approved social media platforms.
- Help develop content featuring community involvement, agency events, holidays, team activities, customer education, and local businesses.
- Take photos and videos at approved agency and community events for use on social media.
- Help maintain a consistent agency brand and professional online presence.
- Assist with creating flyers, event materials, newsletters, graphics, and other approved marketing content.
- Monitor agency social media pages for comments and messages and notify the appropriate team member when a response is needed.
- Help brainstorm creative social media campaigns and content ideas to increase local awareness and engagement.
- Ensure social media and marketing content follows State Farm branding, advertising, privacy, and compliance requirements before publication.
Community Outreach & Business Development Support
- Assist with planning and preparing for community events, sponsorships, Chamber events, networking opportunities, and agency outreach activities.
- Help organize promotional materials, giveaways, event supplies, and agency displays.
- Assist with identifying upcoming community events and potential opportunities for the agency to participate.
- Support follow-up with community organizations and local businesses as directed.
- Represent the agency professionally at approved community events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To be eligible for an internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in High School or an undergraduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
- Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, Sales, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently
- Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
- Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Compensation $17.73 per hour
